Hālau of ‘Ōiwi Art

Located at the heart of Wailuku, at the corner of Church and Vineyard Streets, this two-story, approximately 46,000-square-foot space will be a welcoming hub for the community.  

Hālau of ‘Ōiwi Art will offer a home for hālau hula to gather, along with classrooms, event spaces both indoors and outdoors, and areas dedicated to cultural connection and celebration. The $45M project, being developed by the County of Maui, is currently underway, with anticipated completion in April 2027. Dowling Company is serving in a construction management capacity for the County of Maui.
