DETAILS In northwest Wisconsin about two hours east of Minneapolis, this project consists of 10 residences in cottages at Canoe Bay, a 280-acre Relais & Châteaux resort. The residences, 1,000 to 1,600 square-foot studio to two-bedroom units, will fill six buildings overall, with no more than two units per building. Designed to reflect the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, the cottages will have cedar exteriors, and the residences, which will be sold furnished, will have cedar decks, red oak floors, limestone fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, two-person whirlpools, flat-screen televisions and climate-controlled wine storage. A rental program will be available to owners, who will have personal concierges to provide services like pre-arrival grocery shopping. The resort, which has only 21 cottages, rooms and suites for guests, is on three lakes. There are canoes, kayaks, rowboats and a swim dock, as well as hiking trails throughout its site. A fitness center overlooks one of the lakes, and the fine-dining restaurant has a wine cellar with about 10,000 bottles. Children are not allowed at the resort, which also prohibits smoking and pets. Nonstop flights to the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport leave from most major American cities, including New York.
