Born and raised in Upcountry Maui, Derek received a Bachelor of Science Architecture/Art degree from Portland State University. He resided in Portland Oregon for 9 years before moving back to Hawaii.
Derek has worked in the architecture field for over 9 years, the types of projects that he worked on varied from commercial to high end residential.
